ATWORKS.AI is a one-person studio run by Adam Thayer in San Diego, California. This page explains what information I collect, why, and what I do with it. The short version: I collect only what I need in order to reply to you and scope the work, and I do not sell it to anyone.
What I collect
When you send an inquiry. Your name and email address, and whatever you choose to write about your company, your role, and the process you want help with. Forms on this site are processed by Formspree, which delivers the submission to my email inbox. I do not run a database of my own.
When you email me directly. Whatever is in the message, held in my email account like any other correspondence.
When you browse. If analytics is enabled, standard usage data: pages viewed, approximate location derived from your IP address, device and browser type, and how you arrived. This is handled by Google Analytics and, for visits that come from an ad, Google Ads. It tells me which pages are read and which ads are worth paying for. It does not tell me who you are.
What I do with it
- Reply to you, and continue the conversation if there is one to have.
- Understand what a project would involve before quoting it.
- See which pages and ads are doing useful work.
That is the entire list. I do not sell it, rent it, trade it, or add you to a mailing list. There is no newsletter and no automated follow-up sequence.
Confidentiality of what you describe
Inquiries frequently describe internal processes, tooling, and business problems. I treat that as confidential by default. Nothing you send is published, quoted, or used as an example without your explicit permission, and I am happy to sign an NDA before you describe anything sensitive—just ask before you send the detail.
Case studies on this site are published only with the client's agreement, and with identifying information removed where the work was done for someone else.
Who else touches your data
- Formspree — receives and forwards form submissions.
- Google — Analytics and Ads, if enabled, plus the email account the inquiries land in.
- Cloudflare — serves this site and logs requests for security and performance.
Each of those is a service provider processing data on my behalf, not a party I share your information with for their own purposes.
How long I keep it
Inquiries stay in my email account so I have a record of the conversation. If you would like yours deleted, ask and it is deleted. Analytics data follows Google's own retention settings, currently 14 months.
Cookies
This site sets no cookies of its own. If analytics is enabled, Google sets cookies to measure visits and attribute ad clicks. You can block them in your browser, or with any content blocker, and the site will work exactly the same.
Your choices
You can ask me what I hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted—email adam@atworks.ai and I will do it. If you are in California, the CCPA gives you these rights explicitly, including the right not to be discriminated against for using them. I do not sell personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of on that front.
Children
This is a business-to-business site and is not directed at anyone under 16.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes will be obvious rather than quietly slipped in.
